Actually, when I hadn't had a complete and positive invitation from any one of the four replies I received, by 07 Jan I had thought I had better just give up hope of getting a trip in Jan/Feb as I had hoped.

Then, out of the blue, the skipper of the 4th, and least likely possibility, wanted me to join their boat. So. I am off to the Seychelles on Tue for a 6-week cruise.

For a new build with an entire crew, I would expect to review up to 300 CVs for finding an entire crew specifically tailored to the vessel, the owner and the owners requirements...hence your system is perfect for me as I am able to contact the persons I am interested in or vice versa and then start some decent dialogue even before meeting them. My needs to match personalities and specifically crew qualifications against class requirements under flagged authorities and insurance is imperative for the safe and successful running of vessels after they have left the yard. The ability of your service for me to mix and match is fantastic.

It cuts down the time I spend interviewing staff who might not be appropriate."

That particular yacht planned "a bit of a stint down here in the South Pacific first, then sailing to Monaco and then on to Florida and through the Caribbean" and Robinson was specifically looking for people from New Zealand and Australia.

"What I needed were crew members who were not only highly competent but who weren't going to be overwhelmed if they had, say, a movie star on board.

"I have very high-profile clients and the last thing they need is to be ogled or have a crew member ask them for an autograph or to talk about it in the wrong way. Thanks Find a Crew! I've met a few people around my local area for weekend sailing, and have just arranged to sail indefinitely around SE Asia (and maybe beyond) with one of my new friends. He's currently starting the journey without me while I finish up my job - though it's hard to work when he's sending regular updates and I'm daydreaming of places I'd rather be!

Many thanks for providing such a well designed and busy site - the sailing community has needed something like this for some time now. :)

I joined Findacrew on 11th July, and in just over two months have been amazed and thrilled with the amount of offers of crewing that I've received!

I've done three trips so far! One, a weekend on the Solent was great, apart from the skipper being a bit more of a party animal than I am, and also his boat profile said he didn't mind smoking, and being a non-smoker that was a bit of a mistake on my part!! Both of these things were MY misjudgement I hasten to add, as both were clearly stated in the profile!

The other two trips I've done were for a different skipper. The first around the west coast of Scotland, and the second from Scotland to Ireland! These two trips were just fantastic!!! In particular... travelling down the Crinan Canal in a 54ft brand new Jeanneau was a very memorable experience!! On both trips skipper and crew got on really well, and had a lot of fun, as well as enjoying the sailing, scenery etc!

Thanks B and everyone!!! One of the things I've found really great about both skippers, is that they were both very capable & experienced, and were willing to help and teach anyone onboard anything they wanted to

learn or improve on, which I found brilliant!! I've met some fantastic, likeminded people so far, and can't wait to see what future trips bring!!

Thank you Find a Crew™ - On Thursday morning first week of August 2005 I awake to another fruitless search for a job that will interest and stimulate me. Leaving the job agency sites I enter a search for Yacht crew agencies I follow your link enter your fantastically professional site, no nonsense or bullshit, send off 5 enquiries. Next day I check the site and note I have a return, I am prompted to join up as premium member, I am now suspicious, is this just another con to steal my hard earned cash? I join after some deliberation and a call to a Yachtsmaster friend. This has got to be the best $49 I have ever spent, I am now rushing around organising for a trip from Egypt to Capetown on a 62 ft luxury ketch with a really cool bunch of like minded guys. So thankyou is a bit of an understatement, might even hold out for a paying position next !?

Hello to my friends at Find a Crew!

I found my entire crew for my two-month sail to the Bahamas thru your web site. I had a significant number of responses and was able to choose my final crew from a large number of interested and qualified people. The folks I met thru Find a Crew are first rate people with excellent sailing backgrounds, all about the same age and with similar interests. I am looking forward to our trip. I found using findacrew.net to be a thoroughly enjoyable and successful experience, after just over a week I had all crew requirements with standby crew just in case. I am sure the type of trip helps but before using your site I was starting to get worried about filling the positions due to under exposure (registered on various other crew websites and forums). Now I can get on and concentrate on passage planning which is great.

Only changes that would help are some instructions in the FAQ about deactivating the account once crew is found and changing the "Delete" on the profile to "De-Activate". I was wanting to keep my profile and thought "Delete" would do just that. Also perhaps a flag(s) on the profile to say crew negotiations in progress so potential crew know the status of the advert but can still apply if they want.

Excellent site and service, I know where I will turn when next requiring crew!

We have found so many great prospects we may not need an extension!!! BUT I was thinking it would be great to have in case something happens to our choice of crew that if the person we choose doesn't work out for some reason, we will then be able to try again later! Our main problem now is trying to choose between all the wonderful and qualified people who have contacted us. We will for sure use your services every season when we

are looking for crew. We are very impressed.
